We are Drink Different – a group of young winemakers from the Retzerland region in the Weinviertel: Weingut Buchmayer, Katharina Gessl, Weingut Fidesser, Schöfmann & Schöfmann, and Roman Strohschneider.

Through sustainable farming, mindful use of resources, and hands-on craftsmanship, we create wines that take their time, show calm, and have character. What unites us is the shared exchange and our passion for natural, honest, and distinctive wines.

Natural wine, for us, means subtraction rather than addition: less technology, more craftsmanship, and greater trust in nature – spontaneously fermented, unfiltered, and free from additives. That means as pure and original as possible. We completely avoid enzymes, cultured yeasts, additive sugar, fining, clarifying agents, as well as acidification or deacidification. A minimal addition of sulfur is acceptable to us.

Where our wines are, we’re usually not far away.

Our wines are as diverse as we are – playful, serious, wild, or calm. Every bottle tells a story of origin, craftsmanship, and the region it comes from. We work with old grape varieties, small plots, and a lot of sensitivity for what emerges when nature is allowed to take its course. Authentic, alive, unmistakable.
